Title: Child on Aiport with Palpitations

Note: This story is submitted by Mother\r\n of 8 years old Child.

On September 7th, we were at the airport for an 8:30 PM flight. While waiting in the lounge, my 8-year-old son began to feel his heart racing due to anxiety about the flight. Although he was clinically fine, we decided to inform the Airport Lounge Manager. The manager then contacted the Airport Mobile Health Unit.

While we waited for the healthcare team, we attached our Cardiac Zone device to him. Within 1-2 minutes, we started receiving his heart rhythm data. The app indicated that his heart rate was elevated but still within the normal range, and it reported no abnormal rhythms.

The healthcare team arrived within 4-5 minutes and connected their monitors to my son. Their readings matched those from our cardiac Zone app, which provided accurate results. After about 5 minutes, his heart rate improved, and he felt much better. His blood pressure and oxygen levels were also within normal limits, so we were cleared to fly.

During the flight, we kept the Cardiac Zone device on him, and he remained well throughout the 4-hour journey, with normal heart rhythms reported the entire time.

Physician Review / Comments:

The ECG of this young child clearly indicates sinus tachycardia (an increase in heart rate), as reported by the CardiacZone device. The heart's electrical rhythm was normal, with no abnormalities detected. This information was instrumental for both the parents and the Mobile Health Unit team in making a safe decision about proceeding with the flight. Any abnormal rhythm would have posed a risk to continue flying

Patient/Relative Comments:

The CardiacZone successfully assessed my child's heart rhythm and reported it as normal. This greatly alleviated my anxiety and helped me make the right decision to proceed with the flight. As a physician, I had a slight advantage over others, but the CardiacZone was crucial in my decision-making. Additionally, the airport health unit confirmed that everything was fine. One of the most appealing aspects was the instant results, which didn't require interpretation by a cardiologist. With no wires attached, my son was very comfortable wearing the device for an extended period.
